My name is Eduard Gurevich and I am a Jewish painter. The memories of my childhood are very important to me and remind me the roots of my childhood and especially my Yiddish grandmother tongue.
As well it reminds me the stories that my grandmother told me about Israel . A lot of things our nation doesn’t know about the Jewish history and it’s due to the Communistic rule.In 1941(in the World War Two)
most of my family and my relatives didn’t manage to escape their country and were murdered by the Nazis.

The memory about 6,000,000 Jews that were murdered doesn’t give me any clam.
Time by time I am returning to the usual theme-Shtetel, in order to return in my drawings the adaptation of life of the Jews, their order of life, the imagine of their hardships, the faith of Torah, the tradition
and the roots of our father and grandfather. I have been painting Judaica for 20 years and it is a comprehensive topic of the worldwide culture. I dedicate my drawings that I paint
in memory to all the Jews, our brother and sisters that were cruelly murdered in the Holocaust and there holiness reminds us time by time the huge tragedy of our nation.
